In 1999, our CEO and founder, Thomas Van Schuyler, saw that being fingerprinted for various employment and licensing requirements was an overwhelmingly inconvenient experience for consumers. As an NYPD Police Officer with traditional ink fingerprinting experience, he saw a need for the process to be made simpler and more accessible for the community. Mr. Van Schuyler began offering mobile fingerprinting services and PrintScan was born.

It was not long before Mr. Van Schuyler envisioned PrintScan as a household name, with getting fingerprinted as easy as going to a local business or from the convenience of one's home or office. With strategic partnerships being formed daily, Mr. Van Schuyler's vision has been made a reality.

Today, PrintScan has a growing network of over 700 locations and still offers mobile electronic fingerprinting services worldwide. We have processed over 15 million fingerprint records in our 25 years of service.
